A student once told us ‘Every day is a special day at Mackenzie School!’ and we adopted it as our mission to ensure that it’s true for every single student that comes to study English on one of our programmes.
Our English language and activity programmes are for young learners.
If you decide to enrol on one of our study programmes, you will not be disappointed with your decision.
We will take care of all aspects of your stay from the moment you arrive at the airport until you go back home.
English lessons at Mackenzie School are unique, challenging and, most importantly, fun! With our task-based approach you will have the opportunity to put your existing knowledge into practice and learn lots of new language at the same time.
You can enrol on one of our summer programmes as an individual or come with a school group at any time of year.
We have a fantastic range of options to suit everyone’s tastes and offer a wide variety of exciting activities, excursions and local visits.
From our year-round school to our summer residential centres, you can be sure that you will have an ‘unforgettable experience’!
Edinburgh is Scotland’s capital city and is the perfect destination for a school study trip.
As a small city with only half a million inhabitants, Edinburgh is very easy to move around and students often tell us how comfortable they feel. With some of the top tourist attractions in the UK and a world famous cultural programme, it regularly ranks as one of the top places in the world to visit!
You can’t help falling in love with this majestic city. It has a medieval Old Town, an elegant Georgian New Town and is home to Arthur’s Seat, an extinct volcano in Holyrood Park with sweeping views of the city and the Firth of Forth from its peak! Looming over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland’s crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, traditionally used in the coronation of Scottish rulers. You might not know this but Edinburgh also hosts the world’s largest arts festival – ‘The Edinburgh Festival Fringe’ – which takes place every August for three weeks.
